​Biography--

Dr. Nia Imani Bailey, DPA, M.A.Ed, RT(T) is a 30-year-old West Philadelphia native. She is an experienced motivational speaker, activist, breast cancer advocate, writer , author, director, executive director and woman of God.
Additionally, Dr. Bailey has been employed as a Radiation Therapist for the last eight years!


In December 2020, Dr. Bailey received her doctoral degree in Public Administration at West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Her primary focus for her dissertation “Federal Health Reform: Breast Cancer Outcomes” focused and described how young women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Healthcare regulations and guidelines are preventing young women from getting early preventive care and services. As a result, young women dying from breast cancer. 


The qualitative dissertation sought to prove the significance of lowering the mammography age from 40 years old to 30 years old. This study aimed to examine policy frameworks for screening mammograms and insurance coverage.


Dr. Bailey has dedicated her life's mission to continue to fight for reform in the healthcare system and educating the community about breast cancer awareness and resources.


Through her life’s mission, Dr. Nia Imani created, wrote and directed “A Letter to My Sisters: A Breast Cancer Documentary for Young Women” which gives some insight into the journey of young women dealing with their breast cancer diagnosis and life itself.


Dr. Bailey also founded a nonprofit organization and is the author of an interactive children’s book.


As the Founder and President of Agape–Finding Your Purpose, Incorporating Your Faith Non-Profit Organization our mission is to feed, clothe and fellowship with the homeless men and women of the Logan Square section of Philadelphia. Ultimately, our goal is to eradicate homelessness—everywhere!


Last, but not least, as previously mentioned, Dr. Bailey is the author of an interactive children’s book entitled “Love Thy Neighbor”. Love Thy Neighbor highlights a little girl’s mission to feed, clothe and fellowship with homeless people. Sounds familiar?
